Zebra ZT620
The Zebra ZT620 is a wide-format industrial label printer from the ZT600 series — Zebra's heavy-duty line, built for production environments that run labels continuously and can't afford a printer to be the thing that stops the line. It prints thermal transfer, so labels survive months and years rather than weeks.
Where the ZT620 belongs
- Manufacturing lines — product, batch and compliance labels printed as goods come off the line
- Distribution centres — pallet and carton labels at volume, all day, every day
- Large-format labelling — drum, IBC and pallet labels where the full printed panel has to fit on one label
- 24/7 operations — metal construction and serviceable wear parts keep it running across shifts
Choosing a ZT620
Every ZT620 includes Ethernet, USB, Bluetooth and RS232 as standard. Two things change between part numbers.
| Part number | Means |
|---|---|
| ZT62062 | 203 dpi — the right choice for pallet, carton and shipping labels with standard barcodes, and it prints faster |
| ZT62063 | 300 dpi — for small text, dense 2D codes and detailed compliance panels squeezed into limited space |
| …EG100Z | Adds Wi-Fi — for placements where running a network cable isn't practical |
| …E0100Z | Wired Ethernet only — the usual choice for a fixed production position |
Remaining digits cover media handling options such as tear-off, peel and cutter configurations; the exact configuration is listed on each product page.
ZT620 or ZT421?
Both print wide labels, but they sit in different classes. The ZT421 is the mid-range workhorse and the more economical choice for steady daily volume. The ZT620 steps up to the ZT600 series: heavier build, higher throughput and more headroom for continuous multi-shift printing. If your printer runs most of the day and downtime stops work downstream, the ZT600 class earns the difference.
Thermal transfer means choosing a ribbon
Match the ribbon to the label material, not to the printer. Paper labels take wax, coated paper takes wax-resin, and synthetic labels need resin — wax will not bond to a synthetic label and wipes off with a thumb.
All ZT620 printers below are CE certified and covered by Zebra's manufacturer warranty. Matching labels and ribbons are available from stock.
