The Newland WD3 Badge Scanner (Nwear by Newland) is a flat, wearable Bluetooth® 2D barcode scanner the size of an ID badge: just 10.6 mm thin and 53 g, it hangs from the supplied neck lanyard or retractable belt clip and is always within reach – leaving both hands free between scans. A megapixel imager reads 1D and 2D codes from labels and screens, the red laser cross aimer picks exactly the code you want on a crowded pick list, and the IP65 housing withstands rain, dust and 1.2 m drops. This version, WD3-BS30, comes complete with a USB-C cable, neck lanyard and retractable belt clip – ready to charge, pair and scan.

💡 How it connects: the WD3 pairs directly with your smartphone, tablet or PC via Bluetooth 5.0 – as a keyboard (HID, no driver needed) or as a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) device, with up to 30 m range in open space. Newland Android devices pair through Newland's pairing app, and other Android devices simply by scanning a QR code with the free EasyConnect app. For a PC without Bluetooth, add the Newland NLS-DG-R USB Bluetooth dongle. Out of range, batch mode keeps your scans in memory for later upload via Bluetooth or the USB-C cable.
